Energy is the ability to do work. It cannot be created nor destroyed. It can only change from one form to another.

It exists in various forms, including kinetic, potential, thermal, electrical, chemical and nuclear energy.

                     Sources of Energy: 

  • Renewable energy sources :  Renewable energy sources are naturally replenishing, virtually inexhaustible energy sources derived from the sun, wind, water, earth's heat, and biomass.
  • Non-renewable energy sources :    A non-renewable source of energy is a natural resource that exists in limited quantities and cannot be replaced or replenished on a human timescale once used. These resources take millions of years to form and are generally extracted from the earth, including fossil fuels (coal, oil, natural gas) and nuclear materials like uranium.
